Meet the Eco Ventures
We are supporting 46 incredible planet-positive ventures across the UK in EVC Cohorts 1, 2 and 3, whose solutions collectively span a range of greentech sectors. Meet the ventures below!
Auralytica
Cohort 3
Agritech, Watertech, Foodtech, Circular Economy and Packaging
What we do
Our mission is to improve safety, security, and sustainability by making invisible threats visible through chemical sensing. We are building a world that is radically more transparent - starting with food safety and food waste reduction.
Cosysense
Cohort 3
Sustainable Materials and Manufacturing, including Built Environment, Clean Energy, Efficiency and Mobility
What we do
Cosysense's vision is to create human-centred sustainable indoors for everyone. Our mission is to optimise comfort and energy efficiency in 1 million commercial spaces using cutting-edge sensors and AI.
Decent Energy
Cohort 3
Clean Energy, Efficiency and Mobility
What we do
Decent Energy’s mission is to decarbonise energy demand while reducing fuel poverty. We optimise renewable generation, storage and other smart low-carbon technologies to cut the cost and carbon intensity of energy. By maximising green energy use and connecting distributed assets into intelligent local systems, we make clean, affordable energy accessible to everyone.
FermTech
Cohort 1
Sustainable Materials and Manufacturing, including Built Environment, Circular Economy and Packaging
What we do
We're saving 1m tons of CO2 emissions per year by 2030, by saving 100,000 tons of cocoa. We’ve developed a breakthrough: creating delicious, cocoa-enhancing ingredients that save 98% CO2 emissions versus cocoa. By transforming spent grains through fermentation, we’re cutting costs, reducing carbon footprints, and helping businesses adapt to the cocoa crisis.
HotGreen Solutions
Cohort 1
Sustainable Materials and Manufacturing, including Built Environment, Clean Energy, Efficiency and Mobility
What we do
We're replacing industrial fossil-fuel powered boilers, saving industry cost at the same time, and decarbonising 5.4Gt of Co2 produced annually by gas boilers.
Lambda agri
Cohort 3
Sustainable Materials and Manufacturing, including Built Environment, Agritech, Watertech, Foodtech
What we do
Lambda Energy’s mission is to unlock sustainable global food production by transforming wasted sunlight into usable light for crops, enabling growers everywhere to produce more food with fewer resources. We are committed to reducing agricultural emissions, improving resilience to climate change, creating stronger economies, and helping ensure nutritious, affordable food for a growing population.
Loop52
Cohort 3
Circular Economy and Packaging
What we do
At Loop52, we exist to eliminate plastic waste from end-of-life vehicles. We believe in a world where every vehicle is recycled intelligently, where small businesses and global players are united in driving a just transition, and where the scrap yard is no longer the end of the road.
MarinaTex
Cohort 1
Sustainable Materials and Manufacturing, including Built Environment, Circular Economy and Packaging
What we do
We're creating planet-conscious, 100% plastic-free materials and coatings from natural biopolymers, providing sustainable alternatives to plastics in packaging and agriculture while driving circular economy innovation.
NANOPLUME
Cohort 3
Sustainable Materials and Manufacturing, including Built Environment, Clean Energy, Efficiency and Mobility, Circular Economy and Packaging
What we do
NANOPLUME’s mission is to deliver cost-effective, scalable, and accessible insulation solutions that reduce energy wasted in both heating and cooling. We develop ultra-efficient, bio-based aerogel materials that improve thermal performance across the built environment and cold-chain systems while lowering embodied carbon and enabling circular manufacturing.
NUNA Studio
Cohort 1
Sustainable Materials and Manufacturing, including Built Environment, Circular Economy and Packaging
What we do
We're introducing biodiversity into urban environments to help create cities that are more resilient to flooding and extreme heat and healthier places to live. Our first product, the Living Lattice, is an innovative “Vertical Rain Garden” or “Vertical SuDS” made of low carbon bio-materials, with a proprietary geometry that promotes healthy plant growth and increased water retention.
Planet Protection
Cohort 3
Climate Finance and Intelligence
What we do
Planet Protection is an ethical commercial insurance broker, exclusively partnering with capacity providers vetted to avoid investments and underwriting in fossil fuels, weapons, and migrant detention. We empower values-driven organisations to align their insurance with their principles, transforming premiums from funding harmful industries into a force for environmental and social good.
RecoVolt
Cohort 3
Sustainable Materials and Manufacturing, including Built Environment, Circular Economy and Packaging, Clean Energy, Efficiency and Mobility
What we do
RecoVolt’s mission is to remove the bottleneck in end-of-life EV battery processing. We enable recyclers and manufacturers to discharge batteries quickly, safely and at scale, creating efficient workflows that cut risk, reduce waste and unlock reuse opportunities, driving the circular economy for critical materials and clean mobility.
Sustainable Soils Alliance
Cohort 3
Carbon Capture, Usage and Storage, Climate Finance and Intelligence, Climate Education and Advocacy
What we do
Our objective is to design and campaign for systemic government and corporate policies that will support and enable the nation’s farmers to deliver the goal of sustainably managed soils within the space of a generation.
Temperate
Cohort 3
Sustainable Materials and Manufacturing, including Built Environment, Clean Energy, Efficiency and Mobility
What we do
Temperate’s mission is to protect people from extreme heat without worsening climate change. We develop ultra-low-energy cooling systems that operate without refrigerants, reduce grid strain, and enable safe, affordable cooling.
