Our services
We enable leading law firms to offer free legal support to early greentech startups, spinouts and social enterprises ("Eco Ventures"), helping them to grow, thrive and save our planet.

Eco Ventures Counsel (“EVC”) is a new legal pro bono programme, providing essential free legal support to Eco Ventures across the UK in annual cohorts.

We support early (pre-Series A) Eco Ventures linked to universities, incubators, accelerators and venture builders/studios throughout the UK.​​​

Cohort 1 launched on 1 May 2025 and includes 21 incredible ventures:

Eco Ventures receive comprehensive legal support, covering corporate governance, fundraising, IP, contracts, data protection, privacy, employment, tax, regulatory compliance and more.
We also offer legal training, expert talks and networking opportunities.
About us
Meet our founder
Mitesh Jagatia is the Founder of Eco Ventures Counsel. Before founding EVC, Mitesh was a senior in-house lawyer for 16 years at Sky, Bloomberg and Moody’s, and also worked in-house at a dynamic tech startup.
Prior to EVC, Mitesh co-created and formerly co-led the award-winning Green Tech Legal Collaborative, supporting early greentech ventures from Imperial College London and Undaunted, and he was also a Steering Committee member of the In House Pro Bono Group.
