Our services
We enable leading law firms to offer free legal support to early greentech startups and spinouts and planet-positive social enterprises and charities ("Eco Ventures"), helping them to grow, thrive and save our planet.

Eco Ventures Counsel (“EVC”) is a legal pro bono programme providing essential free full-service legal support to Eco Ventures across the UK in annual cohorts.
We support early (pre-Series A) greentech ventures and planet-positive social enterprises and charities in the UK. We are expanding internationally and will launch a Europe cohort later this year/at the start of 2027.

EVC has welcomed 56 ventures into the programme since launching in 2025.
- EVC UK Cohorts 1 and 2 launched in 2025 and include 28 ventures.
- EVC UK Cohort 3 launched in March 2026 and includes 18 ventures.
- EVC UK Cohort 4 launched in July 2026 and includes 10 ventures (and counting).

Eco Ventures receive comprehensive free legal support, covering corporate governance/structuring, fundraising, IP, contracts, data protection, privacy, employment, tax, regulatory compliance and more.
Eco Ventures can also elect to receive:
- optional bespoke IP support from a leading law firm
- free access to the leading DealCentre AI virtual data room, provided by SS&C Intralinks
We also offer legal training, expert talks and networking opportunities.
About us
Meet our founder
Mitesh Jagatia is the Founder of Eco Ventures Counsel. Before founding EVC, Mitesh was a senior in-house lawyer for 16 years at Sky, Bloomberg and Moody’s, and also worked in-house at a dynamic tech startup.
Prior to EVC, Mitesh co-created and formerly co-led the award-winning Green Tech Legal Collaborative, supporting early greentech ventures from Imperial College London and Undaunted, and he was also a Steering Committee member of the In House Pro Bono Group.
